PageForge Privacy Policy

PageForge (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a document toolbox for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.

Summary

On-Device Processing (Default)

For merge, split, scan, convert, on-device OCR, layout restore, Wi‑Fi transfer between your own devices, ZIP/RAR extract, and most other tools, your files stay in the app sandbox on your device. We do not upload document contents to our servers for these features.

Cloud PDF Translation (Pro, Optional)

If you subscribe to PageForge Pro and choose Translate PDF, the app uploads the PDF you select to our service at api.qlcai.com (encrypted in transit via TLS). This is required to translate complex PDFs while preserving layout, formulas, and charts.

When you use this feature, we may process:

• The PDF file you submit
• Source and target languages you choose
• A device identifier and App Store subscription status (to verify Pro access and usage limits)
• Job status and error logs (metadata only, not document text in logs)

Translated PDFs are returned to your device and saved in your in-app library. Do not upload highly confidential documents unless you accept cloud processing.

Subscription Verification

To unlock Pro features (including cloud PDF translation), the app may send your App Store receipt or transaction information to our server to verify subscription status and monthly page quotas. Payment details are handled by Apple; we do not receive your full payment card number.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app may store locally:

• Documents you import or create
• App settings (for example, iCloud sync toggle, App Lock preference)
• Subscription unlock status cached after a valid App Store purchase
• Usage counters for free-tier daily limits (OCR / Office conversion) and Pro PDF translation page quotas
• An anonymous client identifier used when calling our API

You can delete imported files from within the app at any time.

Optional iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, files may be copied to your personal iCloud Drive account under Apple’s control. This feature is off by default. Apple’s privacy policy applies to iCloud: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Device Permissions

PageForge may request the following permissions only when you use related features:

• Camera — scan documents and ID cards into PDF.
• Photo Library — select images to create PDFs.
• Local Network — Wi‑Fi Transfer: receive files from your computer on the same Wi‑Fi network. Data stays on your local network; files are not sent to our cloud for this feature.
• Face ID / Touch ID — unlock the app when App Lock is enabled (optional).

Permission prompts appear in your device language. You can deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings.

Share Extension

The optional Share extension copies files you share into PageForge through a local app group container on your device. Files are not sent to us unless you later use a cloud feature such as PDF Translate.

Subscriptions & Payments

PageForge Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment, billing, and subscription management are handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details. See Apple’s privacy policy for purchase-related data: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Third-Party Services

For on-device features, the app uses Apple frameworks (such as PDFKit and Vision). For optional cloud PDF translation, our backend may use open-source layout tools and third-party translation APIs as described above. We do not use third-party ad networks or analytics that track you across other companies’ apps.

Children

PageForge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

On-device data is protected by iOS sandboxing and optional App Lock. Cloud translation uses HTTPS. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we limit server retention and access to what is needed to provide the service.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.

订阅验证

为解锁 Pro 功能（含云端 PDF 翻译），应用可能将 App Store 收据或交易信息发送至我们的服务器， 以验证订阅状态与月度翻译页数额度。付款由 Apple 处理，我们不会收到您的完整银行卡号。

保存在您设备上的数据

• 您导入或生成的文档
• 应用设置（如 iCloud 同步开关、应用锁）
• App Store 订阅验证后的本地解锁状态
• 免费版每日额度（OCR / Office 转换）及 Pro PDF 翻译页数额度计数
• 调用我们的 API 时使用的匿名客户端标识符

您可在应用内随时删除已导入文件。

可选 iCloud 同步

若在设置中开启 iCloud 同步，文件可能复制到您 Apple ID 下的 iCloud Drive，由 Apple 管理。 该功能默认关闭。iCloud 适用 Apple 隐私政策： apple.com/legal/privacy。

设备权限

• 相机 — 扫描文档、证件并生成 PDF。
• 相册 — 选择图片生成 PDF。
• 本地网络 — Wi‑Fi 传输：在同一 Wi‑Fi 下从电脑接收文件；数据仅在本地网络传输，不会为此功能上传至云端。
• Face ID / 触控 ID — 开启应用锁时解锁应用（可选）。

权限说明会以系统语言显示。您可在 iOS 设置中拒绝或撤销权限。

分享扩展

分享扩展通过本地 App Group 容器将您主动分享的文件复制到页匠。 除非您随后使用 PDF 翻译等云端功能，否则文件不会发送给我们。

订阅与付款

PageForge Pro 通过 Apple App 内购买自动续期订阅销售。 付款、账单与订阅管理由 Apple 处理，我们不会收到您的完整银行卡信息。

第三方服务

本机功能使用 Apple 框架（如 PDFKit、Vision）。 可选的云端 PDF 翻译会使用服务端布局分析与第三方翻译 API（见上文）。 我们不使用跨应用广告追踪或第三方广告网络。

儿童

页匠不面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们不会故意收集儿童个人信息。

数据安全

本机数据受 iOS 沙盒与应用锁保护；云端翻译使用 HTTPS 传输。 任何电子存储或传输方式都无法保证绝对安全，我们尽量将服务器保留的数据限制在提供服务所必需的范围内。

政策变更

我们可能更新本页面，顶部「Last updated」日期会相应变更。继续使用即表示接受更新后的政策。
